Decades perfecting the art of voiceovers, Mike Weiner, in the industry since 1974, has had the training and experience over time, honing performance skills, and building a reputation for excellence. Now semi-retired, Mike selectively works on productions that need and want his unique style.
It started in 1974. Mike enlisted in the US Air Force intent on working with the US Military's American Forces Radio and Television Service. Once trained at the Defense Information School, he was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, in Anchorage, Alaska. Think Robin Williams in "GOOOD MORNING VIETNAM" A few years later, he was honorably discharged and returned to his home town Washington, DC. Mike worked at several local radio stations there, and discovered the niche voiceover industry. He began working as freelance talent for advertising agencies, marketing communications firms, production studio, film, training, film (He was an extra in The American President as a reporter hounding Annette Benning).
As Mike's career flourished with a growing client list, he was invited to prepare a weekend seminar, the Voiceover Marketing Workshop in the 1990s. Working with people who felt they had talent as a voice actor (yes, it IS acting!) and wanted to learn. After 13 years of teaching more than 1,000 students and producing demo tapes for those who wanted to venture forth, he felt he had gone far enough and that it was time for a change in another direction.
He still records occasional voiceovers for clients with an interesting project and the right vibe.
Whether you need a voiceover for a commercial, narration for a documentary, or characters for a video game Mike is here to help. He will make your production sound....great!
